Step 10: THINK BIG - START SMALL

It all starts with an idea that you can make great wine and own your own vineyard. Many just like you are making this dream a reality here in Arizona. Please keep in mind that even a small vineyard or winery can become overwhelming, one should take care to do extensive research and test ideas along the way. Below are some helpful hints to ensure your success;

1. Decide what part of the wine business is right for you and why?
2. Join the AWGA and attend meetings and events
3. Locate a market for your grapes and or wine before you begin production
4. Consult with Arizona Vineyard and Winery owners
5. Consult with wine industry experts
6. Develop experience by volunteering at a harvest or wine event
7. Read and explore; Gaining knowledge over time will reduce mistakes
8. Start the License & Permit process 6 months before the wine is ready for market
9. Ensure that you are equipped with adequate capital resources
10. Be persistent!
