Formerly “Festival at the Farm,” The Grand Tasting & Marketplace celebrates the best in Arizona’s four wine growing regions.

More than 1,000 dedicated wine lovers from across the state will be here when the Arizona Wine Growers Association presents its 7th annual Arizona Grand Awards Presented by The Arizona Republic and the Grand Tasting & Marketplace.

These two events celebrate the growth and excellence of Arizona’s wine industry, which fosters economic development and drives destination tourism throughout the state. The Grand Awards Gala announces Arizona’s best wines. The Grand Tasting & Marketplace provides wine lovers first-hand opportunities to enjoy the fruits of the vine from more than 30 wineries pouring from over 100 selections of wine, assembling more wineries than at any other festival statewide.

Grand Wine Awards Gala

Friday, November 20

The Arizona Republic Presents the Grand Wine Awards Gala, Reception, Dinner, and Silent Auction featuring awards presentations to the best wines in Arizona in the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Grand Ballroom. These awards comprise the “Academy Awards” of Arizona wines and will receive widespread media attention. Reception begins at 6:00 p.m. and the Gala Dinner and Awards at 7:00 p.m. Table sponsorships for ten (10) begin at $1,500; individual seats are priced at $125.

Four chefs will join creative forces for the Grand Wine Festival Awards Gala, under the direction of the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort’s Executive Chef Aaron Geister who is the host chef for the evening. They are Chef Danielle Leoni, executive chef of The Breadfruit & Rum Bar; Chef Rod Kass, Chef/Owner of Café Roka; and, Chef Mel Mecinas, executive chef of Talavera Restaurant & Four Seasons Resort. Courses will be matched with wines chosen from Arizona wineries.

Grand Wine Tasting & Marketplace

Saturday & Sunday, November 21 & 22

Formerly “Festival at the Farm,” The Grand Tasting & Marketplace celebrates the best in Arizona’s four wine growing regions. The two-day festival offers wine tasting and sales by the glass, bottle, and case. Other programming includes music, wine seminars, a small selection of vendors, and a live auction on Saturday. Located on the driving range of the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort, festival hours are 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. both days. Advance single-day admissions are $65; advance two-day admissions are $115; at the door admission is $75 each for single day and $130 each for two-day

Proceeds from the auction will support renovation and development of the new Arizona Wine Library Center at the Campus Farm on the campus of the University of Arizona in Tucson. The facility has been donated to the AWGA by the University of Arizona for the purpose of promoting Arizona viticulture.

The AWGA’s relocation of this event to the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort allows us to realize our goals of growing attendance and developing increased awareness and prestige for Arizona wines.

Vendor Opportunities

The Arizona Grand Wine Tasting & Marketplace (formerly Festival at the Farm) invites local Arizona vendors to participate in the state's most prestigious wine festival, where a limited number of vendor booths will be available.

The event will be November 21 & 22 at the historic Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort in historic downtown Chandler, AZ. Now in its 7th year, this signature Arizona Wine Growers Association event has been expanded to two days, featuring more Arizona wineries than any other festival in the state and announcing the winners of the best wines in Arizona, courtesy of the annual statewide competition's sponsor and organizer, The Arizona Republic.

Expected attendance will be more than 1,000 wine-loving adults who will spend the day savoring the best in Arizona wines, attending seminars, listening to great live music, and hanging out with others interested in the world of wine.
